...a four-year journey comes to a close for Dan and Neel...

"What is home?"

...a question we all ask ourselves each time our fast-pace modern lifestyle demands that we uproot and move.

"Is home the place that provides us with shelter from the elements?"

No, shelter is material - home is something more.

"Is home the people we know and trust?"

No, those people are nomadic like we are, bound only to the wind of change that drives us as motivated individuals.

Home, I say, is your grocery store. The place where you get your food. The place where you picks up your eats. The place where you get your snack on.

For four great years, Neel Joshi and Dan Morris called Brown University - in Providence, RI - home. The rain may have weathered through our shelter, the people we trusted may have come and gone, but we always knew we had a home. Why? Because we had a grocery store we could trust. That grocery store... it hurts me to even mention its distant name now... was Stop and Shop.

Stop and Shop gave us "all the ingredients" we needed to carry on every day, and gave us the warm "I love to grocery shop" feeling each time we set foot inside her grand gates. We bought garlic for the good times, and cheese for the bad times. We made Stop and Shop... our home.

But like all things in a college student's life, Stop and Shop had to come to an end for Dan and Neel. CS majors go to California, and they can't bring all the ingredients with them. So on May 29th, 2000, Dan and Neel made one last trip to Stop and Shop to pay tribute, to give thanks, and to - for just one last moment - embrace the products that shaped and changed our lives for four years. The following pages are a photojournal of that night... a night we will always remember... the night we said goodbye, to Stop and Shop.

Thanks, Stop and Shop, for all the ingredients.
