Background:

On his 10th birthday, Jonah was ready to begin his journey as a Pokémon trainer. He knew of the risks involved: few 10 year olds survived their first week in the woods alone. But it was Jonah's dream to become a Pokémon master. He arrived bright and early at Professor Doeppner's house, ready to receive his first Pokémon.

"I think I have the perfect Pokémon for you," Professor Doeppner said, pulling a pokéball out of his pocket. "It's a Squirtle, a water Pokémon. I'm sure he will suit you just right."

Jonah began his journey with his new friend. In one year, he had managed to not only survive, but also beat eight gym leaders and arrive to face the elite four. It was a tough series of battles, but Jonah came out on top. He was the youngest Kanto league champion. He has spent his time since his victory training harder and claiming more titles and prizes, with his loyal squirtle always by his side. Now finally resuming his education, he has joined Tech House as a place to fit in while he readjusts to society (being a Pokémon master is a lonely job). With the tournament starting, Jonah plans on using squirtle to defend his new home.

Developer's notes:

Jonah uses squirtle to fight for him. While squirtle may not have much HP, he is excellent at harassing, zoning, and disengaging from his opponents. He also posses the ability to wall jump, letting him attack enemies from unexpected angles.
